Environment Canada has ended the severe thunderstorm watch for the City of Toronto and surrounding areas.
The watch ended around 7:40 p.m.
The severe thunderstorm watch was issued for the GTA around 5 p.m. Environment Canada upgraded the watch to a warning around 6:30 p.m., but then downgraded after about half-an-hour back to a watch.
Watches and warnings remain in effect for areas outside of the GTA including Windsor, London, Peterborough and Ottawa.
