Tornado warnings were issued for parts of the GTA on Wednesday, but have since been lifted.
Parts of York-Durham and Halton-Peel regions were under the warnings.
Toronto remains under a severe thunderstorm watch.
Tornado warnings were also issued for a large part of cottage country including Algonquin and Peterborough-Kawartha Lakes. Those have since been downgraded to severe thunderstorm warnings.
Environment Canada says it has received reports of a tornado in central Ontario, near Lake Couchiching, but a twister hasn’t been confirmed.
